PROGRAMME

One day workshop focused on understanding the grant review process and changing grant environment. Activities included tips and advice from reviewers, academics and funders. Afternoon session involved hands-on practice reviewing two grant proposals in groups kindly contributed from academics.

Charles and Ross are both experienced academics giving us the opportunity to hear about their career, how they transitioned from non-permanent to permanent positions, from capturing small to large grants. They will describe some turning points and give their personal insights into how to achieve grant success. The speakers will also give an overview of how the grant environment has changed through the course of their career, with advice on how overcome such challenges.
